Statement:
After
having developed a love of landscapes
as an environmentalist with
Tennessee's Department of Environment
and Conservation – Division
of Water Pollution Control,
I have found an expression of
that interest. I started watercolor
with Norma Dennison and continued
training with Janice Sumler.
With Janice, I have expanded
into acrylics.
During
my many years documenting pollution,
I have also collected many photographs
of flowers and landscapes, which
I now use as subjects of paintings.
My engineering background also
yields a fascination with painting
homes and buildings.
