Bio:
I am a Jackson, TN native.
I have been around photography
all of my life in one way or
another. My grandparents, George
& Floreca "Reece"
Walker used to own "The
Camera Shop" (previously
located downtown Jackson) and
they also had what we called
"The Plant" that printed,
processed and packaged school
photos from all over the country.
I
consider myself "advanced"
in photography, although I don't
shoot full time nor do
I have an indoor studio.
The outside world is my studio.
I
picked up the camera in the
past 3-4 years and am my worst
critic, so when I shoot an image,
I seek for that image to
make me smile.
My main focus
is wildlife, pets, nature and
architecture. I enjoy photographing
people at doing what they love
to do. Black and White is also
a favorite of mine. I like to
try to take a photojournalistic
approach. I don't particularly
like the old head and shoulder
shot and I don't really care
if someone is smiling or not.
It's so funny to me, when I'm
photographing a child and I
have parents behind me say,
"O.K. now, smile!"
in that baby voice. I think
the no smile is just as dramatic.
